If your Seed Vault wallet has stopped functioning properly because one or more seeds were renamed/renumbered (for instance, “Seed 1” becoming “Seed 2”), this guide explains how to safely re-import your seed and restore full access to your wallet.
Step 1: Make Sure Your Seed Phrase Is Backed Up
Before making any changes, confirm that your seed phrase is securely backed up. The seed’s name may have changed, but your wallet and its contents are still tied to the same seed phrase.
If you never saved your seed during the initial setup, you can back it up now through the Seed Vault settings.
Step 2: Re-import the Seed into Seed Vault
Once your backup is safely stored, proceed with re-importing the seed:
Open Seed Vault Settings.
Tap Add a Seed.
Choose Import a Seed Phrase.
Enter the seed phrase you backed up and complete the import process.
This will create a new, working seed record in the Seed Vault (for example, named “Seed 3”).
Step 3: Reconnect and Confirm Everything Works
Open the Seed Vault Wallet application.
Link the wallet to your newly imported seed.
Verify that the wallet displays your assets and transactions correctly.
If everything appears as expected, your Seed Vault Wallet should now be fully operational again.
Step 4: Delete the Inactive Seed Entry
After confirming that your new seed import functions properly, you can delete the old, broken seed entry from Seed Vault to avoid future mix-ups.
