Losing a device that holds or manages access to your crypto wallet is stressful, but if you’ve followed best practices, your funds will be recoverable. Here's what you should do:
1. Try Locating Your Device with Find My Device
You'll need to access the service through a browser or the Find My Device app on another device.
Sign in with the Google account linked to the lost phone:
Google's Find My Device is automatically enabled by default.
Visit Google’s Find My Device to:
Ring your device (if nearby)
Lock the screen remotely
Display a custom message and contact info
Erase all data if you're sure the device won’t be recovered
For this to work, the phone must:
Be signed in to your Google Account
Have location services and Find My Device turned on
Be powered on and connected to mobile data or Wi-Fi
(Optional) Have “Store recent location” enabled to see its last known location even if it's offline
2. Recover Your Wallet with Your Seed Phrase
If you’ve safely backed up your 24-word recovery phrase, you can:
Get a new Solana-compatible wallet like Solflare
Choose: I already have a wallet, and Select on Recovery Phrase.” during setup
Input your recovery phrases in the correct order, make sure to separate them by spaces.
You can press on Import All, but if you’re unable to find all your wallets, press on Advanced.
Create a pin for your wallet, you can change how often you are prompted this password in the settings.
If you’ve got access to all your wallets, you’re good to go.
The Solana Seed Vault used by Seeker follows the same seed standard used by wallets like Solflare, so you can restore your wallet on this app as a fallback, even if you're switching to a different device later.
⚠️ Note: If you import your seed phrase into a hot wallet like Solflare, you lose the added protection provided by Seed Vault’s secure on-device storage.
3. If You Haven’t Backed Up Your Recovery Phrase
If your phone is still in your possession but not yet backed up, act immediately:
Open Settings: Begin by navigating to the "Settings" application on your Seeker device. This is typically represented by a gear icon.
Access your seed vault: Within the Settings menu, locate and select the "Seed Phrase" option. This dedicated section manages your device's secure seed phrase storage.
Tap “View my seed phrase” (requires your passcode)
Write down your recovery phrase on secure offline material (e.g., metal backup, paper in a safe)
Once your phone is lost or stolen without a backup of your seed phrase, your funds are irrevocably lost. There is no way for Solana Mobile, Solflare, or any third party to help recover them.
4. If Your Seed Phrase Is Lost or Potentially Compromised
If it is lost, unfortunately, recovery is not possible. Your recovery phrase is the ultimate key to your funds. Solana Seeker devices do not store your private key in the cloud, and no recovery is possible without the seed phrase. By maintaining a secure backup, you retain full control even in the worst-case scenario.
If someone else may have access to your phrase (compromised):
Do not trust the compromised wallet anymore
Immediately:
Generate a new wallet/seed phrase on a secure device
Transfer all funds to the new wallet
Treat the old wallet as unsafe, even if no suspicious activity has occurred yet
5. Extra Security Steps to Consider
Always enable device lock features (PIN, biometric security) and remote wipe tools like Find My Device
Never save your seed phrase digitally (photos, notes, cloud storage, password managers)
If you fear your device has been tampered with, consider starting fresh with a new wallet and new phrase
