Sending and receiving SOL and SPL tokens

This guide provides instructions on how to send and receive tokens, such as SOL or other Solana-based tokens into your Seeker mobile wallet.

Updated over 3 months ago

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Locate Your Seeker Wallet Address, or Seeker ID

Open the Seeker mobile wallet and select the account you want to use.

Click on the three dots at the top of the interface, click receive

Click copy address or copy seeker ID to your clipboard.

This is the address where you'll receive tokens or you can receive tokens from your seeker ID directly to the wallet attached to the seeker ID

2. Initiate Withdrawal from a Centralized Exchange (CEX)

Log in to your centralized exchange account and go to the Assets or Balances section.

Find the token you wish to transfer (e.g., SOL).

Click or tap on the Withdraw option next to that token.

3. Provide Transfer Details

Enter the amount of tokens you want to withdraw.

Paste your copied Seeker wallet address into the field labeled Recipient Address or Destination Address

Important: Make sure the network is set to Solana (SOL). Using the wrong network can result in the irreversible loss of funds.

4. Double-Check and Confirm

Carefully review all the transaction details:

Token amount

Recipient address (your Seeker wallet)

Network (must be Solana)

Double-check the wallet address to ensure accuracy

Review any withdrawal fees that may apply on the exchange.

Once verified, proceed by selecting Confirm, Submit, or Withdraw (terminology may vary by exchange)

5. Verify and Monitor the Transfer

Some exchanges may prompt additional verification steps (e.g., email or SMS code). Follow the instructions provided.

The transfer may take a few minutes depending on network congestion and Solana blockchain confirmation times.

You can monitor the status of your transaction in the exchange's Withdrawal History or Transfer History section

6. Confirmation and Accessing Your Funds

Once the transaction is confirmed on the Solana blockchain, the transferred tokens will appear in your Seeker wallet balance

You can also choose to receive a notification from the Seeker app after every transaction with transaction details, confirming successful receipt

How to Send SOL and SPL Tokens Using the Seeker Mobile Wallet

This guide provides clear, step-by-step instructions on how to send Solana (SOL) and other Solana Program Library (SPL) tokens from your Seeker mobile wallet to external destinations, including centralized exchanges (CEXes) or other wallet addresses. When sending to another Seeker user or device, you can also use a Seeker ID, saved contact, or wallet address, making transfers faster and more convenient.

Before You Begin

Identify Supported Tokens

While most centralized exchanges support SOL, support for individual SPL tokens can vary. To avoid loss of funds, consult your exchange’s official documentation or support resources to confirm whether the token you're sending is accepted.

Locate the Deposit Address

Log in to your Centralized exchange account and navigate to the Deposit section for the specific token (e.g., SOL or an SPL token). You’ll find a Deposit Address, this is the address you’ll use to receive the transfer from your Seeker wallet.

⚠️ Important - Network Selection

For tokens that exist on multiple blockchains (e.g., USDC, USDT), make sure to generate a Solana-compatible deposit address. Sending tokens to an address generated on a different blockchain (e.g., Ethereum or BSC) will result in permanent loss of funds.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Retrieve the Deposit Address from the Centralized exchange

Access your CEX account.

Go to the Deposit section for the token you want to receive.

Copy the Solana network deposit address carefully.

2. Initiate the Transfer from Seeker

Open your Seeker mobile wallet.

Navigate to your Portfolio and select the token you wish to send (e.g., SOL or any supported SPL token).

Tap the Send button.

3. Choose the Recipient Type

When sending to another Seeker user or device, you can choose from:

Seeker ID

Saved Contact

Wallet Address

For transfers to a CEX, use the deposit address obtained in Step 1.

4. Enter Transfer Details

Paste the recipient’s address, Seeker ID, or select a contact.

Enter the amount you wish to send.

Double-check all details for accuracy, especially the address or ID.

5. Review and Confirm the Transaction

Review the transaction summary, including:

Token type

Amount

Recipient address or ID

Confirm the transaction by following the prompts in the app.

6. Transaction Processing

Once confirmed, Seeker will broadcast the transaction to the Solana network.

Confirmation time typically ranges from a few seconds to a few minutes depending on network activity.

And that’s it. The transaction is complete.

For added convenience, you can click "Save address" to store the recipient address in your saved addresses, making future transfers quicker and easier.

Verifying Deposit on the CEX

After the transaction is processed, check your CEX wallet balance for the updated amount.

Some exchanges may have a slight delay in crediting deposits. This is normal.

Troubleshooting Delays

Network Congestion: Delays may occur during high traffic on the Solana network or the receiving exchange.

Contact Support: If funds haven’t appeared after a reasonable period, contact your Centralized exchange support team and provide your transaction ID.

Additional Tips

Test Transfers: If unsure about token support, consider sending a small test amount first.

Unsupported Tokens: Never send unsupported SPL tokens to a CEX SOL address, this could result in permanent loss of funds.

Seeker Support Scope: Seeker support cannot recover funds sent to incorrect or incompatible addresses outside the Seeker ecosystem. For such cases, contact the receiving platform directly.

By carefully following this guide and double-checking all transaction details, you can safely and efficiently send SOL and SPL tokens from your Seeker mobile wallet to any compatible address, whether on an exchange, a personal wallet, or to another Seeker user.

Note:

Always maintain a minimum balance of 0.005 SOL in your wallet. This ensures you have enough to cover transaction fees
